Yoga can be extremely therapeutic for your body, but only when executed safely. Come learn the benefits and potential dangers of yoga with Dr. Carla Cupido and Jesse Enright. Dr. Cupido and Jesse have joined forces to educate individuals utilizing both current biomechanical research and traditional yogic knowledge. In this interactive workshop, you will learn how to attend yoga classes safely and with greater insight as to how this ancient practice can transform your body. A BIT ABOUT THE INSTRUCTORS:
Vancouver chiropractor, Dr. Carla Cupido focuses primarily on healthy biomechanics, muscle firing patterns, muscle tissue, and joints. She retains complete certification in both Active Release Technique ® and Graston Technique ®. Dr. Cupido conducts seminars and workshops on neuromusculoskeletal issues to numerous groups in the Vancouver area. Dr. Cupido writes for online resources as well as active lifestyle publications, such as the leading Canadian climbing magazine Gripped; she also appears in educational videos on health issues.

Jesse Enright has been a student of yoga for thirteen years and an instructor for the past ten. Jesse was a full-time instructor at the Downward Dog Yoga Centre in Toronto for five years and completed their world renowned teacher training program before moving to Vancouver in 2002. He teaches a variety of classes, courses, and workshops in the Vancouver area, including alignment and anatomy to teacher trainees. Jesse credits both his excellent teachers and his study of anatomy and biomechanics for his informative style of instruction. His classes blend the challenge and flow of vinyasa with deep alignment and a light hearted approach.
