Dr. Carla Cupido graduated with an Honours Kinesiology degree from McMaster University while maintaining national ranking as a track and cross country athlete. The Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College graduated Dr. Cupido with Clinic Honours in 2007 and she has since become a Certified Provider of Active Release Technique®, Graston Technique® and Kinesio® Taping; she is also a certified Functional Movement Systems™ and Selective Functional Movement Assessment™ specialist. Dr. Cupido’s extensive background in sport has provided her with knowledgeable insight into working with recreational to professional Olympic athletes as well as professional performing artists, including on-set treatments of Hollywood actors.
Dr. Cupido lectures at various venues including the University of British Columbia. She is a regular contributor to online resources and has been featured in health videos that have been showcased on programs such as Air Canada’s EnRoute. Dr. Cupido has been interviewed as a health specialist on CTV News and has been published in leading sport magazines such as Running Times, Inside Fitness Magazine, Gripped: The Climbing Magazine, Canadian Cycling and Canadian Running along with a number of case-studies in peer-focused journals.
